How do you come upon the 3 second memory information, LV? I had never heard of the myth to begin with so I'm already 2 steps behind. :(#6: Robert Kummerfeldt (rmkummerfeldt) on Oct 29, 2007
Maybe you heard it, but it was more than 3 seconds ago...#7: tj stein (tjstein) on Oct 29, 2007

I went to a reception once that had tiny fish in 3 inch bowls as centerpieces! I was very upset about it.#14: Gypso (Gypso) on Nov 3, 2007

so what is the difference between Koi & Goldfish?#24: Bionerd (nieboo) on Feb 17, 2008
They both come from carp, but are different species. The easiest way to tell the difference is that koi have barbells on their mouth, like whiskers.#25: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Feb 17, 2008
oh thanks..#26: Bionerd (nieboo) on Feb 17, 2008
what? was that a lead in to a joke?#27: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Feb 17, 2008
no, I really wanted to know what the difference was :)#28: Gypso (Gypso) on Feb 17, 2008
Come on JC. There has to be a joke in all that! :)#29: J.C. Anderson (jc.noserdna) on Mar 12, 2008
A Joke? As in just one? I could do a three hour standup with this much material!#30: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 12, 2008
I wish that you would JC. I've missed you so very much. How is Australia? :)#31: J.C. Anderson (jc.noserdna) on Mar 24, 2008
I'll think about it, but I want two cases of bottled water, and two twenty minute set breaks.#32: Arduinna (arduinna) on Mar 24, 2008

Thank you #34! You got to it first so I didn't have to remember how the Mythbuster team disproved the myth of a 3 second memory. The coolest part was, in fact, that the goldfish were being trained over the course of a month or so and gradually learned more and more of the maze and that proved that their memory is as good as many creatures.
