Great little puzzle Mike, cool image and completely solvable by logic. I used a bit of edge logic with the 6 clue down the bottom, then some smile logic to finish :)

as for the attitude.. what else can you do? be angry? disappointed? and for how long? these are the few first stages of getting your mind around the whole picture and sadly, most of the people stay there. Nothing is solved with bitterness and by blaming others.

How about we show this as a good example of summing logic?

Once line logic is done, columns 1-3 have a total of 3 more cells that need to be black. If we look at the left side of rows 8-9, we see that 2 more cells need to be black. So that leaves us where there is one more black cell (and only 1) that must be in R10C2 or R10C3. Since R10C2 cannot be black without R10C3 being black, then R10C3 is the black cell we were looking for. It solves normally from there.
