Puzzle Description:
English: "Through adversity to the stars." This is the motto of the Royal Air Force and is the name of this memorial sculpture in Toronto honoring all Canadian airmen and women. Or should I say honouring? :-)

Here is the photo of the sculpture by Oscar Nemon:#2: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 13, 2011

Very nice, Teresa. These Latin Lesson puzzles are great! :)#4: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Nov 13, 2011 [SPOILER]
It sounds like a good motto for a space program, too.#5: Lollipop (lollipop) on Nov 13, 2011
Also rather more poetic than Aim High.
Challenging solve and excellent image. In 1968 the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Royal Canadian Navy, and the Canadian Army were unified as the Canadian Forces with an Air Command, Maritime Command, and Land Forces Command. I still remember the public controversy and dissent from veterans who had served during WWII, which was at the time still a recent memory. Finally, after (only!) 43 years, three months ago in August 2011 the three branches were again separated and reinstated with their original names to honour active troops and veterans.#6: Claudia (clau_bolson) on Nov 13, 2011

The NASA motto is very similar to this one, I remember it since i was 12. Another puzzle maybe?
Thanks for the info, Lollipop.#8: Michelle Jones (lizzieb4041) on Nov 14, 2011
Perhaps, Claudia. I have made a few NASA puzzles, maybe you will come across them sometime.
It always amazes me how your beautifully intricate puzzles are also such a pleasure to solve.#9: jewel crown (jewel) on Nov 14, 2011
