Thx David, disappointing was it?,it gets mixed reviews in the car magazines, and it's not that inexpensive. The all electric cars aren't totally practical, because the infrastructure isn't in place yet for charging outside of your home.Funny thing is they are praising diesels now for economy and distance between fill ups,I was driving diesel VW(Golf's and Jetta's) 25 yrs ago.Great cars, you could go 900 to 1000 Klm's on a tank of gas and diesel fuel is cheaper than gas, plus you never have to have a tune up,just change your oil regularly and those engines never die. The new diesel technology makes them faster(turbo's),cleaner and not as noisy.

David if your looking for performance and style than test drive a new Challenger,Charger,Mustang,or Camaro. If you want sportiness but decent fuel economy, try a new Mini Cooper,or the new Fiat 500,cool little cars,or a VW turbo diesel, any model((Jetta,Golf,or Beetle).I don't know if,but you have a wife and kids, but if you do,and you want to be really cool, and get good gas economy get a 1955 Nash Rambler station wagon,or a 58 Edsel wagon. Those would be my choice, lol.:)

I'm not actually in the market. The day with the Volt was a dealer promotion, but my current (reasonable) car choice would be a 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP. Your suggestions are good, but some on the list would be difficult since I'm 6'2" ;)

Yeah 6'2" does make the Mini and the Fiat a poor choice, however an old Mini might do.When i was a teen playing in bands in the mid sixties,we had a manager who owned a Mini and we use to all get in that car to go to A&W after a gig.We did the how many people can you get in a car thing and got 13 teens in his Mini,of course that's parked not driving, lol.:)

Yes, Aldege, you may get away with it. We have been letting Sylvain (who is also French) get away with it for years on here! :-)
