Puzzle Description:
English: "To be rather than to seem." This is from Cicero's essay "On Friendship" ("De amicitia"). "Virtute enim ipsa non tam multi praediti esse quam videri volunt" (Few are those who wish to be endowed with virtue rather than to seem so). Here is a young man being greeted by his best friend.

Amazing silhouette says it all. I'm often in awe of your imagination and originality, Teresa. I'm pretty pedestrian myself (I'm an accountant, so that also says it all) but that doesn't mean I don't recognize creativity when I see it. Thank you again.#2: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 30, 2011

Beautiful, Teresa. Esse quam videri was my High School motto. I only took one year of Latin. I think all I remember is agricolo...farm!
