I hope you don't mind being a snake David, I have a particular fondness for snakes, I love them. Originally I was going to do a dophin, but it never looked right. Also, I was trying to make a really challenging puzzle for you, fail! LOL. I hope it was fun to solve anyways :)

#9: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 15, 2011 [SPOILER]
Thanks everyone, Glad you liked David :)

Kristen, a Dugong did pass in my thoughts, only cause they are gorgeous, but I didn't think David would appreciate :D

And Aldege, a donkey was one of the creatures that I thought no to straight away, lol, along with Dodo, Dik Dik, and Drongo, can you believe how many funny names start with D? Haha.
#10: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 15, 2011
:P back at you David, lol, and i suppose your hot stuff now cause MARZ MADE YOU AN ANIMAL SHE LOVES,hmmmph, well your no silver fox, lol. I still think you should of made him a donkey marz.:)
#11: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 15, 2011 [SPOILER]
I'm very pleased with the selection and, being raised in Texas, quite familiar with the diamondback...but when you consider most of those other options for "D" animals, I'm even happier :)
#12: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 15, 2011
Haha, I bet David! :D

Aldege, I love Artic foxes too, I think they are just adorable, when I was googling images to look at them, I was going all fuzzy inside, they are sooooo cute, I love their white fur. I want one!
#13: Jota (jota) on Oct 15, 2011
You can't have him Marz, he's taken ;-D
#14: Joseph Jessen (gijoex2) on Oct 15, 2011 [SPOILER]
A smiling rattle snake. Nice. I've seen some rattle snakes, and the only time I've ever seen them "smile", well, let's just say you don't want to see them smile.
#15: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 16, 2011
Damn! Haha. I know he is Jota, Hi Niki ;D Well, I will just have to find my own arctic fox then :)

Thanks Joseph, yeah, I dont think I would like to see a snake smile either :D
#16: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 16, 2011
Aww c-mon girls if you ask nice Niki may be willing too share, just joking of course. I'm dedicated to my lovely wife and i'm too old for you girls anyway, lol. When Niki dumps my old butt for some young guy her own age though,i'll be sure to cry on your shoulders and let you know i'm available.:)
#17: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 16, 2011 [SPOILER]
Hey, I love Diamondbacks - we have lots of them here in Arizona, both the beautiful snakes and the handsome baseball players. :-)

What's a Dugong? What's a Dik Dik? What's a Drongo? Marz, instead of describing them with words, how about with puzzles? Yeah!
#18: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Oct 16, 2011
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dugong
These guys are hilarious to watch scooping grasses off the sea floor.

The dik dik is a tiny antelope, I think. Never heard of a drongo.
#19: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 16, 2011
Ok Aldege, no worries! :D

Teresa, maybe I will soon, I will do a series with creatures with funny names, hehe!

Kristen, in the Sydney aquarium, here in Oz, they got in a Dugong, and I just had to go and see it, it was amazing, I loved her, they are sooo cute, cows of the sea :D
Oh, and a drongo is a bird, but here in Oz, drongo means stupid person, does it mean the same elsewhere?
#20: larrry grizzard (gizzard) on Oct 17, 2011 [SPOILER]
Quite a good challenge, just had to keep plugging along at it. Thought for a while it might have been a dog fish and the diamonds were fancy fins or something. And you all missed Dung beetle.
Aldege, don't look now, but I think Niki's already got you listed on Craigslist under rentals: "Aging Canadian for rent, good with babies, cooking. Spends a bit too much time on computer. Keeps giving me aspirins. Price negotiable, by the week or the hour"
#21: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Oct 17, 2011
Nope, I think drongo is purely Aussie slang, though it may have spread to other parts of Oceania. :)
#22: Jota (jota) on Oct 17, 2011
Apparently Australia and New Z. only. The Australian slang is from a racehorse called Drongo (foaled 1921, retired 1925) which ran poorly, and by transferrance anyone slow-witted or clumsy became a drongo. (Reference: Bill Wannan, Australian Folklore, Lansdowne Press, 1970, reprint 1979 ISBN 0-7018-1309-1, entry for "Drongo", page 200.)
#23: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 17, 2011
:D Larry!

Thanks for the info Jota, now you know more about Australia, than I do, hehe :D

#25: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Oct 18, 2011
