In his later years, my late American uncle, who then lived in Maryland outside Washington, had a feisty and hilarious lady friend who had been recruited from the telephone company to be a switchboard operator in the Kennedy White House. Thirty years after the fact she told us anecdotes about the goings-on and setting up "dates" when Jackie was away.

Wow Lollipop that's a cool story. Do you have any reason to doubt the credibility of her stories?,probably not. Did she ever say Marilyn Monroe was one of the dates and did John or anyone else threaten to dismiss her if she tattle taled?

Great story John,it's neat to hear the cause and reasons that are responsible for inventions that were made to improve the way we do things. Makes you wonder how Stoger figured this whole switching device and how he got it to work. Thx for sharing this story with us John.

I didn't see it until the end. Fun!

Interesting anecdotes, Lollipop and John. Sometimes the comments are the best part of the puzzling experience. :-)
