#5: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 5, 2011
your welcome,my pleasure. Loolipop how were you able to put the accentee grave over the 1st e in my name?,and how did you know it belongs there, are you french? :)
#6: Lollipop (lollipop) on Oct 5, 2011
I'm not French, but I am bilingual. I am originally from Montréal, but have lived many years in Ottawa -- not far from Susan Duncan, in fact. To type the accent grave use [Alt] 138, while accent aigu (acute) is [Alt] 130. My children attended French immersion here in Ottawa, and I am happy to say that my 8-year-old oldest granddaughter, now two generations removed from Québec, is fluently bilingual. My 2-month-old youngest granddaughter, born to anglophone parents, whom we call Deji, is actually named Nadège.

Lollipop, how cool that your granddaughters name is Nadege. I just tried it,but it doesn't work. I had a girlfriend that use to call me Deji.

Wonderful puzzle Aldège! There I can do it too. I had no idea there should be an accent in your name and I will probably forget to do it next time. Even though I took French all through high school and live fairly close to Ottawa I am not very good at it. My kids and grandkids however are bilingual.
#15: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 10, 2011
Thx Susan,no problem if you forget it,I grew up bilingual and i still have forgotten most of my french.I don't get to speak it enough with anyone anymore.Everyday i speak french to my 4 month old daughter, hoping i can instill it in her,and words start to come back to me.
