Omg Aldege, thanks for telling what it was, for the life of me I could not see it, so I decided to wait before I commented, lol. I can fully see it now, the stinky end view of the skunk yes? I really enjoyed solving this one, and now that I know what it is, great image too :)
And your first description makes sense now too, oh it's late, I have to go to bed I think, nighty night :)

Holy skunk butt, Batman!
#4: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 5, 2011
Thx Marie-Louise and Kristen.
#5: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Oct 5, 2011 [SPOILER]
Is this the last thing a dog sees before running home stinking?
#6: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Oct 5, 2011
BTW I was thinking it was a prarie dog on its hind legs until the very last pixel. Then POP! I love when that happens.
#7: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 5, 2011
thx Brian, and yes i imagine it is the last thing a dog sees.
#8: Joel Lynn (Furface1) on Oct 5, 2011 [SPOILER]
I guessed what it would be from the title, I had just been reading puzzle comments from the Forum page, and someone said there had been enough skunks. Guess that's what inspired you, Aldege. Although I've never heard anyone say 'you can never have too many skunks.' ha ha

Hope I never get this view in real life. Nicely portrayed, Aldege!

What inspired me Joel was Gizzard's comment about too many penguins, why aren't there more skunks and zebras, from there a few of us have made skunks. I still think the best skunk is Niki's puzzle # 12424 titled handstand,of course i could be biased cause she's my wife lol.:)

I saw two meerkats in almost this exact position: https://gigaom.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/1/2015/03/istock_000004343449_large-640x427.jpg

Great image. Coming across the top, I think I finally figured out what it is I've heard called "Smile Logic"! :)
#12: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 3, 2021
There is no smile logic in this puzzle, Yonah. It is line logic only.

The various kinds of advanced logic we have named are explained on this page: https://www.webpbn.com/solving.html

Hmmm; I see the difference between Smile Logic as defined on that page (thanks for the link!) and my interpretation of it... So it's just line logic(?) when I draw diagonals of sequential opposing vertical and horizontal 2s, or curves when I see 2s become 3s become 4s in one axis (with respective diminishing sequences in the other). Either way, it's fun when I catch those patterns! :)
