It's so nice of the fire department to have you install a smoke detector for me.It's my pleasure Miss Stewart,all part of my job.You be careful on that ladder Carl.I will be,now press this button every month to test the alarm,and don't forget to replace the battery twice a year.Gee Carl do you think you could come back to do that for me?,i could make you a nice dinner.

The new smoke detectors have lithium batteries in them and can last up to 5 years. Smoke detectors are only good for about five years. So, when you need to replace the batteries you don't buy batteries, you buy a new smoke detector. (My husband is a firefighter)!#2: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 22, 2011

Maybe after 6 months Miss Stewart will replace the fireman, too...but he seems nice. ;)
