Puzzle Description:

One of the hanging plants outside my house has a nest with 4 little eggs ... We are hoping to see the little birds soon!

It's just out of the entrance door, so every time we go in and out we try to be very careful not to disturb the mom. Does any one know how long will this take?

they are fun to watch when they first start flying

This is so cool Jota,i'm out on my back deck listening to the birds and watching the squirrels, and enjoying my plants and flowers, while i was looking at your puzzle.I'm not sure how long it takes, but keep checking often because sometimes they fall out of the nest and become easy prey for other animals. It will be cool if you get to see them hatch.Hopefully you can get video of it.Speaking of video,is anyone familiar with moonflowers, they bloom at dusk until dawn and then die off and new ones then bloom at dusk again. We have a lot of them and Niki the kids and I watch them nightly. We captured this on video with Destyny in there also for our PBN friends, but were not sure how we can send this to you either thru e-mail or facebook.Any hints would be appreciated.

I"m not sure how long it takes but it should take very long. The smaller the bird and her eggs, the quicker the eggs will hatch. A goose egg takes about a month, and a chicken egg takes about 20 days. What a wonderful place to have a nest. The mom picked a great place. It's always fun to watch the mom feed the babies, although it's a full time job. Let us know when they hatch.

The plant will eventually die because I'm not watering it.
I've been thinking of getting a surveillance camera to video them.
I'll keep you posted.
To Aldege email me the video please.

Sweet.

Maybe you can use a spray attachment on your hose, so you can water them gently from a distance.

Are you sure that won't bother them Kristen?

Bird nests must get rained on all the time. I was trying to think of a way to keep the plant alive without getting your scent too near the nest.

Ok I'll give it a try when I gather the strength to convince myself I won't harm them.

Very cool puzzle, Jota.

Aldege, Niki belongs to the Facebook webpbn group, so she could share the video with us there. That would be so fun to watch.

Jota, what kind of birds are they? Our fiend got to watch hummingbird eggs hatch from the nest in her hanging basket.

It's a small grey bird that I don't know, but definitely not a humming bird.
