#2: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 21, 2011
I use a wooden spoon to stir my pasta. :)
#3: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 21, 2011

#4: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jun 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
You put your pasta on a dish? Fancy!
#5: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Jun 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
lol, Mootpoint. Tom probably uses a fork also.

I would use what Tom said, if I could pronounce it, and if I cooked pasta often -- which I don't. Like Kristen, I use a wooden spoon.

Surprisingly, there's no agreed-on name. "Pasta spoon" and "Tortellini trowel" are what I found searching on the internet.

I'm enjoying this series and am glad one of them popped up in the daily highlights.

Now, I do use a pasta spoon to *scoop* the pasta, but not to stir it while it boils. :) I think we called it a Spaghetti Server, when I was young. They claim that the hole in the middle is to measure a serving of dry spaghetti, but they underestimate my love of pasta. :)
#9: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on May 10, 2020 [SPOILER]
yeah, it would be a darn big spoon to have a hole big enough for my serving size.

also, i use it to stir the pasta but i stir it backward so the prongs swim along behind :)
