i've had a soft spot in my heart for hose clamps ever since i found my old car's oil cap missing and oil all over the engine compartment. 11pm, middle of nowhere...went in the gas station and bought a hose clamp, a mini pecan pie (kind with foil pie tin) and as much oil as i had cash on me. i left that as-is for weeks.
