Buffalo is in New York :D
I've been to at 26, not counting the states I drove across to get to other states, and lived in 6.
And I've been to Ontario twice, so I guess we're square, Al. :)

we went to Hawaii on the way to Guam when we were in the military
Kristen, if you count drive-through states, then you've been to quite a lot.
I doubt if I'll get to my last 4 but it would be so cool to.

I'm only counting states in which I spent the night, ate a really good meal, or stopped to visit a home or a landmark. Driving from Alabama to Oregon, we passed through quite a few, but they don't count. :)

OR and WA are very beautiful, and well worth the trip. Hawaii is like another world!

I knew that Buffalo is in New York it's just that we are so close to the border here that everyone says i'm going to Buffalo,we don't say were going to New York.

29 + Washingto, DC (two more if you count drive throughs)
#9: Lilly Johns (LJohns315) on Jun 8, 2011 [SPOILER]
Wow, you've been around! Not many people have done that. I say, go the last four!!! I've been to 15.

sarah,,,i flew into hawaii on my way to korea (military also)and to alaska on the way ...does that count?

Ron, I count drive throughs.
Tom, it counts! Especially because you were a gi. (Yeah, vets!)
Lily, I was in the military so traveled a lot. Prior to that, I was a "gypsy"; I could never stay in one place for very long.
#12: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 8, 2011
oh oh..you never have said that sarah lol

I've been to all of them. Not positive, but I think I've even stayed overnight in all of them.

And for Aldege, I've also been to 6 Canadian provinces.

Wow, Joel, that's really something. I've been to lots of states, but I haven't counted how many. I've even been to Buffalo. :-) - but I really want to go to New York City. That should be a state all it's own. I've been to lots of places in Alaska, and several provinces in Canada, all the way up to Yellowknife! I always love to come home to Southern Arizona, as opposed to Central Arizona (Phoenix - yuck) and Northern Arizona (brrrrr).

I, too have been to Buffalo, and even across the river to Niagara Falls, Canada. I love to travel, and enjoy returning home to the mid-Atlantic area. I like hills and trees.

As a teen my family took a loooonnnngggg road trip back east to view historical sites. We saw at least 25 states on that trip. I actually loved the trip...though could have done without some of my siblings for a while. :)

I've seen 34 states and would love to travel to see more.

I've seen/stopped in all the states of the west (west of the Mississippi), plus, let's see: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Florida. NOT Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, the Carolinas, Delaware, New York, New England (6). So I have something like 34 myself. Only a few other countries as well ...
