Thx everyone, one of these days i'm going to make a puzzle where my people aren't so cartoonish looking.I did once when i made one of the Godfather, but they end up so large.

Great puzzle and cool story. I quite often drink milk to celebrate when everyone else is drinking wine. Take a lot of ribbing for that.

the original 'got milk?', perhaps?

nice puzzle

Thx Susan, you have to give Louis credit,he may have worried about being ribbed about drinking milk instead of champagne. Who knows though he maybe received compensation for doing it? Regardless,I think it's cool that it's tradition do drink milk in the winners circle.

Cool puzzle.
Smart decision.
Good tradition to continue.

From an Indy 500 histroy site: "He drank buttermilk because his mother told him that it would refresh him." An executive of the Milk Foundation (now the American Dairy Association) saw the picture and, hoping to set a good example for kids, made sure that from that year on the winner of the Race received a bottle of milk to drink.

After reading this, I had to go get a glass of milk - probably my favorite beverage.

Thx for that info Teresa,it's nice to know he did it on his own accord.
