Good puzzle.#3: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jun 21, 2024 [HINT]
Was doing LL and edge logic and got to 18%. Here are the more advanced moves I did. Possibly not all of these are required, it's just what I did and it's not cleaned up. Sorry for the haphazard nature, I shouldn't have started this puzzle given the time I had to devote to it :) :#4: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jun 21, 2024 [HINT]
- if C12-14,16R11 are dots, then R19 is violated, so the black at C15R11 is part of the 4 clue
- the black at C15R2 is either the second 1 or second 2 clue in the row, but it can't be the 2 because what it forces to the left violates R2 edge logic style
- EL dictates that the black at C15R5 is part of the 3 clue in the row (watch for this to happen again on right side later)
- whether C23R4 or C26R4 is black, C26R1 is a dot (watch for this same logic to happen on the right side later)
- EL places the first 3 in R1
- EL dots C1R5-8 and working from bottom to top you get a black at C1R15. Same logic bottom to top on right side.
- C25R16 can't be the 1 clue because IEL violates C26 and C27. dots C25R19.
- IEL dots C24-25R13
LL to finish
I THINK this is moderate (though tough to find) lookahead. Someone else is free to change to deep if they disagree.#5: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 21, 2024
