This is a great puzzle, just discovered. I love to cook, and so does my wife. She grew up in Soviet Europe, where the only seasonings were salt and ketchup, and they would boil their beef for hours to make it edible. When she moved in with me, she insisted on taking over my kitchen, and everything she made was completely flavor-free. I taught her herbs and spices, and then sauces. But the biggest conversion was when I brought home some prime filet mignon, and grilled them to rare. She looked at it like it was still alive, then took one bite and moaned in ecstasy.
