Woohoo! I made it! It took me many, many hours, and I guessed a bit at the end - I can't say if it was necessary though. Great job on a very complex picture!

Oh boy.. Hard puzzle, but fun to solve.
I guessed a little, but donnow if it was needed, so I won't rate about solveability.

I've never seen a definition of "look-ahead", but what Jane describes in #3 is what I consider "look-ahead" - not guessing. You pick a square that you think is probably blank, fill it in, then proceed to logically prove - either in your head if possible, or by marking the board if not - that filling it in was wrong and that it indeed must be blank. The trick is knowing which squares to try this with so that it actually proves useful.
