My one cat loves rubber bands; the other string. One day I was crocheting when all of sudden I notice my yarn feels damp....and then there was no yarn at all. He had chewed through the yarn and had made off with the skein.

Hope the yarn unraveled along the way leading you straight to the culprit. But because you know that one cat loves rubber bands and the other string, you would already know who did it.

Too bad you didn't put in a cat. :) But you are right--assuming you have cats. All the cats I ever had loved rubber bands--one would eat them if I didn't watch him. They also loved empty (now) old-fashioned paper grocery bags.
