Working from the bottom up, I thought it was a robot tractor from some space game until the very end.

This was fun to solve. Mine solved mostly from the edges in and my friend looking over my shoulder asked if it was a cowboy. I never saw a gorilla.

Hmm, I can see the gorilla...sorta... I knew it would be a pirate, but the hat made me think "fireman" or "bobby." He could have a nightstick and say "Yar, wot's all this, then?"

lol I couldn't really make it out, but I thought it was an ape--like King Kong! Now that I know that is a hat, it looks like what you say. You guys who can't see the gorilla, the hat is the arms and the skull and cross bones is the face. They are, after all eyes. I was totally unsure what was going on around his stomach. I didn't read the comments before I started mine. I'm glad others saw a gorilla. I did enjoy solving it. It's bigger than most I do (not that it is classified by big. I usually stick to 20 x 20.) I got stuck and used edge logic on the right to get the top 3 (or my version of edge logic which is really guess and check). That is the only time I had to guess. I love the pirate and the solve. (If you could have fit a parrot in, I probably wouldn't have thought it was a gorilla. Ha!)

Fun puzzle! I didn't see the gorilla until I read ozymoe's "arms akimbo" -- thanks JoDeen. And, Jan, the parrot is clearly implied. LOL. :o)
