Very interesting picture! Thanks! :-)

You are a master with the color, Gypso! Your puzzles always look easier than they are.
#4: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 7, 2007
Sorry Minnie. The helper solved it for me. Did anyone else get an "Oops!" message? I'd like to fix it if I can. *.*

Thanks Meg and Theresa!

No oops. Solved out straight and pure logic.

..and so you leap, as you've always leapt,
and find yourself falling,
twisting turning tumbling screaming
until at last you realize that,
save direction and intention,
Flying is no different....

Somehow that reminds me of this.

Thanks JC and M2. I tried it again and it solved with no "Oops!" I don't know how to help you Minnie. Sorry for the problem. ^>^

JC, what are the words from? My title came from a song (once again). To be specific, Lamya's "Splitting Atoms". Go here for the lyrics:

http://www.uplyrics.com/lamya_lyrics_787/splitting_atoms_lyrics_24387.html

Lamya also does the best version of "Pink Moon" that I've ever heard!

Thanks for trying to help. This has happened more than once for me- is anyone else solving with a Macintosh/Apple? Wondered if that had anything to do with it? (Probably not- just grasping at straws.)

It's from "To Anne E.", a wonderful, troubled, fragile, broken, endlessly strong girl.
I'm not familiar with Lamya or pink moon, I will check them out. It also reminds me of Poi Dog Pondering's "Tall" , "you're gonna need an excuse to fall, if you're gonna pretend to fly at all." That was an incredible band, check them out at their official website and sample some of their songs and lyrics. Especially "Bury Me Deep" from Wishing like a Mountsin... I think you will like the philosophy of it, Gyps

JC, Help! "To Anne E." by whom?

If you'd like to hear Lamya try amazon. They offer 30 seconds of each song for free. So far it's the only site I found that has "Splitting atoms" and "Pink Moon".
I have found Nick Drakes "Pink Moon" through Myspace:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=30216987

My brain is addled, but I believe this is his song. Please tell me if you know otherwise. I just realized that this song had nothing to do with original topic. I don't know if that's funny or sad.

Now I'm off to find your Poi Dog Ponderings. Which has nothing to do with cleaning the kitchen or picking and cooking an artichoke for dinner. Again, funny or sad?
#12: J.C. Anderson (jc.noserdna) on Sep 8, 2007
Picking? As in going into the yard and harvesting one? Fantastic! But how can you stop at just one?

And the chain that got you there makes sense when you go one link at a time.
#13: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 8, 2007
And so it does make sense grasshopper. Thank you for the reminder. *.*

I can stop at one artichoke because I only have one artichoke ready to pick (the gift of food comes in its own time).

Searched for Poi Dog Ponderings (PDP from now on) and had limited success. No lyrics and only 30 seconds of bad audio. I can't find their official website. Do you have an address?

#14: J.C. Anderson (jc.noserdna) on Sep 8, 2007
may be the problem is that youre putting an "s" on the end. try www.poidogpondering.com, that is the site i go to shows up on google. They were from hawaii originally, maybe naneki knows of them? would have been in eighties,
#15: Jan Wolter (jan) on Sep 8, 2007
I do most of my puzzle solving on an old G3 Mac laptop, but I usually use Firefox, not Safari. Dunno if that makes a difference.
#16: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 8, 2007
Thanks JC. The "S" was my problem. An interesting band with nice lyrics. Thanks for sharing. ^.^

I'm definitely more of a "twillis" than a "theresa", so I prefer that. "Theresa" is far too refined and dignified.

P.S. Newton's wig alone would be somewhat tricky, I should think.

#20: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 15, 2007
Twillis, I'm so rummy right now I thought you wrote Newton's fig (as in fig newton). Twillis is cool. Is it a combo of first initial and last name?
#21: Twillis (twillis) on Oct 27, 2007
Yeah, my old last name, anyhow. My first email address was assigned that way, and people started using it as a name, which I thought fit.
#22: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 15, 2007
Makes a nice login Twillis!

Thank you dear Marz. It's so nice to see your comments. You are always so kind. ^v^
#25: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Aug 25, 2008
Not always. See her comments as of late. Shame on her!
#26: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Aug 25, 2008
LOL!!! Isn't he a funny little monkey boy! :)
#27: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Aug 25, 2008
Yes indeed. So, are you done yet? the more you ramble, the more criticism you will get. So, you quit now.
#28: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Aug 25, 2008
Yes, probably, you are an expert in that aren't you adam, you know all about it, master of it in fact, so I will take the teaching of the nasty monkey sage and quit for now, so until next time oh LITTLE monkey boy, bye :)
#29: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Aug 25, 2008
Woo hoo! Don't come back!
#30: Arduinna (arduinna) on Aug 25, 2008
I went on a road trip once with two other people. One was a good friend, the other an acquaintenance from class. Without going into details, the one I didn't know so well ended up being horrible. When we got back, my good friend was telling some of our friends about the trip. The way she put it was, "she was so horrible, even Theresa (that's me) got mad at her!" I'm just known for being very nice and easygoing. In other words, it takes a lot to push someone like me to say anything mean about another person.

Marz, you are that kind of person as well.

After we got back, we just didn't pay her any attention. She got the hint.
