Puzzle Description:

A Giant Anteater, native of Brazil. Yeah, this picture is rather weird looking, but then so are giant anteaters.

Is the pointy bit a nose?
#2: Jan Wolter (jan) on Dec 14, 2004 [SPOILER]
Yes. See the Online Anteater, a remarkably lovely website devoted to a remarkable critter.

From the "Online Anteater":

Q: Why do anteaters never get sick?

A: Because they are full of anty-bodies.

Some ants broke into my medicine cabinet and stole the Rolaids. I looked at the ant hill a little while later and saw they were all wearing little tyedied shirts, dancing under strobe lights to Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia music. Then it hit me -- rolaids are ... ant-acid.

The online anteater site is no more, but I found: http://theonlinezoo.com/pages/giant_anteater.html where you can see the Giant Anteater in all its glory! I cannot get over the unexpectedness of this thing! Thank you for creating this puzzle and for introducing me to it. I know you won't see this, but thanks anyway!

I remember when the Izod polo shirt was a bit thing (the fad, not the shirt). I embroidered an anteater on a blank shirt of mine. It was eating an ant and the logo read I ZOT. Zot, of course is the sound an anteater makes while eating an ant (according the the BC comic strip). I'd post a photo but alas, none exists.
