Beautiful job Aiden! It's so hard to believe that you haven't solved one of these yet because your so good at making them. This puzzle has that special quality of being challenging and yet still solvable.
Great fun. Thanks so much! :)

P.S. Nice image too!

Hi, Jane-o. What a long and glorious history pirates have. From the Pirates who don't do anything (Veggie tales, i believe) to Monty Pythons' LongJohnSilver Imitators v. the northumbridge Gynocologists Assn. soccer match.
I'll take a stab at the 5 A's: Ahoy, Avast, Arrrghhh, Aye aye, and ...Anchor's aweigh? Anchovies? Anybody seen me eyepatch? Ashore? Am i close?

Okay, Marz, I had to read that three times before hit me. Very funny!

JC is pretty good on his five A's: "Arrrrgh", "Ahoy", "Avast" are correct. But "Aye" and "Aye Aye" count as different words, the one indicating agreement with whatever was recently said or done, the other being an acknowledgment of an order recently given. These five A's cover pretty much all situations, mainly because "Arrrrgh!" can mean pretty much anything you want it to mean.

Gotta get you guys hooked on Puzzle Pirates. Would be cool to start a PBN crew.

Kind of like "smurf", eh? Was not aware of eht doulble aye meaning something different. That'll come in handy next week anyway. Arrrgh.
