The antithesis of the all filled coloring exercise. There aren't even any starting points. Obviously this is broken into quandrants by color, but even that doesn't help where the biggest block is a 2-space-2 linear section, half of any 10 line section. No overlap at all. Perhaps (and just maybe) a hint might be in a title if there was one. If anyone can begin to guess at this one, you're a better man than I, Gunga Din.#2: soelo (soelo) on Aug 22, 2007
I didn't find this one too hard. It took some experimenting on my part. One you figure out on quadrant, you can get the others easily.#3: Timothy (relic10) on Aug 22, 2007 [HINT]

Very poor puzzle design. It's impossible to start any way other than blind guessing, but if you guess correctly then the puzzle is extremely easy, and the final image is not that interesting.#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Aug 26, 2007
Approached as a paint-by-number puzzle, this isn't any fun at all. It is not at all logically solvable. However, it's really easy to guess the intended solution. I was able to figure out the whole thing just by looking at the clues, without filling in a single square. That's rather amusing because it requires looking at the clues a little more holistically than you normally do when working a PBN puzzle.#6: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Sep 1, 2007
What I found more interesting is that the intended solution isn't the only solution. I thought finding any of the many alternate solutions was quite a bit more challenging than finding the intended solution. In fact, of the 37 people who solved the puzzle before me, not a single one seems to have found a wrong solution (though a couple did say they thought it had multiple solutions).
So if finding the right solution to this puzzle doesn't seem like much fun, I recommend trying to find the much more interesting wrong solutions.
I worked out what the final image was by the title and just having a look where the blocks of colour went, I got it right the first time around.#7: Scylla Kat (scyllacat) on Apr 3, 2008
After reading the comments, I can't decide if I liked it or not. If not, I'd say it was based on the repetition.#8: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jan 13, 2018
