Petra, I went into edit, and tried the arrows. The image itself moves, but does nothing with the columns. I tried putting the cursor in the box and hitting delete -- nothing. Any other ideas?

Very nice image and a cool title to go with it.

When you are in edit mode, save the puzzle. The next screen you see will give you the option to try solving, or continue editing. On the continue editing option, you can enter a new size for the puzzle.

This is rather clumsy, and I need to improve it. The whole editing environment needs improvement in many ways.

Nice puzzle, by the way.

Upon reflection, Jan, I prefer the extra spaces since (at least for me) it's easier to count from the edge in blocks of five -- less confusing, less likely to drop a block.
And thank you.

I thought is was maybe a rendition of the northern lights.
