After the initial line solving, look at row 24. Starting on the left side, look at how this will affect row 22. As most of these columns only have a 2 clue left in them, it will cause dots in most of the places in row 22 making it impossible to finish the 4 8 clues. So we can dot R24C7-R24C10.

We can use edge logic to dot R26C10-R26C11.

We can also use edge logic on row 17. With this we can dot R17C7-R17C10 and R17C20-R17C21. More line logic.

With a two move look ahead, we can make R15C9 and R16C9 dots.

With two way logic, the 4 clue in row 17 will either cover R17C14 or R17C22-R17C25. Looking another move ahead, R16C10 will always be a dot (and then R15C10 will be a dot).

Now we can use edge logic to make R15C11-R17C11 dots. Edge logic will also make R25C11 a dot.

And I need to take a break from this one for now. Can anyone detail out another step?

just finished completely with line and edge. sorry, gator, i don't have time right this minute to track back the next steps...will try to do it soon.

Line logic (which for me completes R1-R14,R28-R30, C1-C6, C26-C30...plus 8 blacks and a dot at mouth and six dots under right eye)

Edge logic the 3 in C24 to dot C24R23.
Edge logic the 3 in C23 to dot C23R23-24.

Line logic R23-24, C12-14, R26, R22, C9, C20-22, R25-23, R20, R18-15...keep going until complete.

I know the first time around I did some more edge logic than that...but I think this is all that's actually necessary.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

Thanks David. Once I dotted R23C24, it solved easily from there.

No problem. I was tracking the line logic there expecting to hit more edge logic (and backtrack the line logic to the point where it happens), but it never came. I almost deleted the post-edge-logic line-logic order, but thought some might be interested.

Happy and slightly sickly day? :)
