Puzzle Description:
See puzzle 11346 for Brian's comment. I really liked his idea. Instead of making my own design, I picked a common pattern called Log Cabin. Traditionally the first inner square is red to represent the hearth (fire) or heart of the home.

OK I'm putting Sarah's aquare into the quilt first and I'll publish when I have enough (and a proper looking rectangle). Don't be left out.#3: MrsThing (MrsThing) on Dec 14, 2010 [SPOILER]
Nice log cabin, Sarah, and thank you for the explanation! :o)#4: Thkya (Thkya) on Dec 14, 2010
Cool, I've seen this design many times but didn't know it had a name and traditions :)#5: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 15, 2010
How nice that such a small image could have so much meaning. I would love to see this one in the center, because of its symbolism.#6: Gator (Gator) on Dec 15, 2010
Does the center of a quilt have special meaning too?#7: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Dec 15, 2010
