Your name makes me want to say, "as you wish" but that really doesn't make sense in the present context.#2: Gypso (Gypso) on Jul 28, 2007
This had been flagged as having multiple solutions, but I guess it has been edited because it doesn't any more.
Quite cute.
I had the same thought Jan. lol#3: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jul 30, 2007
Cute image Buttercup! I may be dense but what is the "hidden message"? Look forward to more of your puzzles. :)
Thank you!
I second Gypso in the fact that I don't get the title.#4: Jan Wolter (jan) on Aug 1, 2007 [SPOILER]

He's not dead, he's just nearly dead.#10: Jen (LightVader) on May 17, 2009
One of my all-time favorite movies.
That's inconceivable, I thought he was only mostly dead though.#11: Byrdie (byrdie) on May 17, 2009
Definitely a good movie Byrdie.
Clearly the poison can't be in front of you ...#12: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 17, 2009
I think I might even have two copies of it, on for VCR and one DVD.
I was a big fan of the book long before the movie was made. I loaned my copy to various people, including my brother who was a petroleum geologist in Louisiana at the time (not anymore, now he's Mr Solar Energy for the state of Wisconsin). He, in turn lent it to one of his coworkers, who ripped the cover off rather then be seen reading "A Princess Bride" while riding a crewboat out to an oil derrick.#13: Byrdie (byrdie) on May 17, 2009
I always thought the funniest thing about the book was fact that I happened to know that William Goldman doesn't have a son.
The movie was OK. They didn't ruin the book. But the book is better.
I'll have to fine the book. Line from that movie are among those friends of mine and I are always quoting to each other. We also use "Blazing Saddles" and " Young Frankenstein" quite a bit. There's video of me from a camping trip mimicing Madelene Kahn singing "I'm so tired," not difficult for someone who grew up with German immigrant parents.#14: Jen (LightVader) on May 17, 2009
I didn't know there was a book before the movie. I'll have to find that as well.#15: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Oct 13, 2010
Books are so much always better than the movie. In this case, I'm glad I saw the movie first, as it is a gem. The book is excellent, but I'm glad I didn't have it to compare the movie to, if you know what I mean.#16: Phill Ash (phlash) on Dec 27, 2019
Andre the Giant was perfect as Fezzic, and with good reason. William Goldman wrote in a forward to a later edition that he wrote Fezzic's character with Andre in mind. Andre almost said no because he was on the road with wrestling for something like 300 days out of the year. He also didn't read any English, so he had to learn the script from tapes.
Why wasn't this a 20 x 10?
