I used affirmation logic on row 1 to see that R2C2-R2C3 would always be black. The same logic exists all the way around on the edge.

I also used edge logic on the 2 clue (left) in row 1. If you try to place it at R1C4-R1C5, looking 1 move ahead, you would have to fill in R4C6. But this is impossible as R4C5 is already a dot. So R1C4 is a dot. Use the same logic in other places to finish this one out.

"Affirmation Logic" - I think (but not entirely sure) I just started using that name. It is basically applying edge logic multiple times to see what is the same in every possible case. There will be a cell that is always blank or always filled in on the affected row (or column of course).
