I used two-way logic to solve. Very cute.

#3 - I think it's more of a complex smile logic, but I'd say no guessing is required.

It is more complex than smile logic. Simple smile logic actually involves a 1 move look ahead to find a contradiction. It just happens that smile logic is symmetrical. So after using smile logic for a while we start to look for the pattern, and do not necessarily look for the contradiction any more. If you try to find a contradiction using smile logic in this case, you will have to look many moves ahead to find one.

However, there is some two-way logic that can be done in column 8 (and 13) with the remaining 1 clue. It can either go in R2C8 or R3C8. In either case, R3C7 will be a dot (and R3C14 will also be the the same kind of logic). This will then enable you to do smile logic in columns 2 and 19.
