Your states are in the wrong order. Utah is backward. Nevada is west of Utah not south. Idaho is not a rectangle. :(#2: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Oct 2, 2010

Thanks to Heather for pointing out the errors. I have fixed them, I hope.#5: Cynthia D. Price (cdprhys) on Oct 2, 2010 [HINT]
I completely failed at getting this one for a really long time. I'm still not sure I get it, in fact.#6: Gator (Gator) on Oct 5, 2010 [HINT]
The newest version requires some edge and two-way logic to finish out the black.#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 6, 2010 [SPOILER]

Wow. That lower left hand corner requires a boat-load of edge logic and two-way logic to solve. It's easy enough to guess, but as far logically solving goes, this puzzle is way harder than it's difficulty ranking.#11: Synthia McBride (synthia) on May 29, 2013
I agree with Jan.#12: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 29, 2013 [HINT]
Here's the method I used after line logic runs out:#13: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 30, 2013
Two-way logic on the 1 in r12: whether the 1 is placed in c1 or 2, c3r13 will be white. Then line logic.
Edge logic on the 3 in c1: r18-20 must be white. (If the 3 was there, it would cause a block of one in c2.) Some LL can be done.
More edge logic on the 3 in c1: r16 must be white to avoid a block of one in c2. Then LL.
Two-way logic on the 1 in c5: whether it is in r19 or 20, c4r20 must be white.
Then two-way on the 1 in r20: whether it is in c2 or 5, r19c3 must be black (because of the 2 clue in r19).
Then LL to finish.
Yup, that's pretty much the same boat-load that I was talking about. And folks call that two-star difficulty?#14: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jun 9, 2013
Couldn't see it. Was looking for a car. Guessed rather than go through all that logic and was lucky.
