Im trying to do more than just make nice puzzles at the moment, Im working on making them harder to solve, I love tricky little puzzles so I want to create some of my own and thats just as hard as trying to solve them, I find myself going back and forth, taking one block and adding another, not letting the helper do all the work and generally driving myself crazy. Im loving it! Im also going to try and not let the puzzles be too symmetrical, cause I know that when a puzzle has got symmetry its easy to forget about logic, I do it all the time and that's just not using the old grey matter as one should. We'll see how it goes any way :)#3: Gypso (Gypso) on Jul 8, 2007 [SPOILER]

Thankyou Patricia, its lovely hearing from you, you give wonderful compliments :)#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jul 9, 2007
I've never really tried to do that. Once I get a puzzle looking OK and solvable, I just give up and publish it.#6: luke piper (luke) on Jul 10, 2007
But I've always suspected that was just half the job. Fiddling with it to try to make it more interesting to solve is really the next step. I'm sure it's a lot of work, but the results are worth it, if this puzzle is any indication.
hey lol its me...lol good job...lol this is my first one on...lol well i liked it...keep em coming :-)#7: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Jul 10, 2007
Lol, you are so cute, I bet you solved this one by guessing most of it because it's symetrical, lol , It's so funny how I got my daughters on to these puzzles and now they are getting their friends on to them as well, Luke being Millie's good friend who lives just down the road :)#8: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 22, 2008
I can't get any of my friends interested in them. They just look at me like I'm crazy when I try to explain them.#9: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 22, 2008
Loved, loved this puzzle.
I sometimes fiddle with my puzzles to try to make them a bit more tricky as well. But sometimes, they just end up unsolvable, so I go back to the easier version!
My friends and family do the same. The only ones who actually understand how it works are my little brothers ages 12 and 9.#10: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 22, 2008
Get 'em hooked young!#11: Levi Ross (rhodyboy888) on Dec 6, 2008 [SPOILER]

Ditto #14. But then again, it is well past midnight!#16: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 28, 2011
I usually eyeball a puzzle that I'm creating, and fiddle with the squares until it looks just right. Then I try to solve it, and fiddle some more to make it easier to solve.#17: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 28, 2011 [SPOILER]
It's very hard for me to make a symmetrical puzzle. I don't think I have...

Thanks Kristen :)#19: Dianne Hamilton (dlh46) on Dec 15, 2011
Agree with comment #8. Why is that do you think? Can't get my enthusiasm to transfer with anyone so far.#20: Kadou (Kadou) on Feb 25, 2012
