yep,had to guess, but nice design

First, I made a diamond pattern. I thought that was cool, too.

What guessing is required with patterns? Had the black and red been in random squares, that would have required guessing.

You are guessing that it is a pattern and not random. If you mark a pixel that you cannot prove logically is a certain color (using the clues), you have guessed.

Just because you have finished a puzzle correctly after making an assumption does not mean you have not guessed. It only means you guessed correctly.

Found to require some guessing by infrapinklizzard.

There are 331,776 solutions to this puzzle, only one of which is correct. The only thing saving it from "much guessing needed" is the fact that is is a pattern.
