I had a much younger co-worker who kept using Twelve O'Clock High for the time. (I don't recall there being an opportunity when she needed to tell someone that something was straight ahead and up in my earshot, so I don't know if she'd use High Noon for that or not.) Finally, I saw that one of the movie channels was having both movies on over a weekend. I told her to watch both. The next Monday, she correctly incorporated both terms into conversations.
