There's actually quite a few medicines out there that cure ich quite well. But aside from the common diseases I agree with you. My fish are having problems with their eyes and I can't seem to cure them. I can tell if my fish are healthy...I don't know about happy as in any animal..but I seem to do okay in keeping my fishies alive.
I just want the world to know that fish aren't so easy to take care of. There ARE some things you have to do every week when it comes to maintenance. I HATE HATE HATE when people get fish because they think it's the easiest thing and they just have to buy them and not care for them. I can't stand that. They aren't that hard to take care of but people still don't want to do it.
I think people shouldn't own fish but me. :)
