Every so often, a puzzle comes across that seems to have been deliberately to annoy puzzle-solvers. Is there a way to mark those, so that they get reviewed? I won't say which specific puzzles, but as I've been doing more and more (I think I'm around 850 now), I'm finding many... Just curious.

The site is getting slower and slower, and I think if some of those deliberately-annoying puzzles were purged, it would help speed things up as well as lowering our collective blood pressure.

Or maybe some combination puzzle date/quality logic could be applied to purging. Say, everything older than four years that's not at least rated a three for quality gets deleted.

There are lots of really good puzzles that are rated 2.75.

Maybe require a lower rating for smaller puzzles, since they tend not to be rated so highly. Say, keep all the 20x20 or smaller rated at least 2.5, but require a higher rating for larger puzzles.

I think it's not necessarily that the rating is low, it's the people who deliberately create puzzles that are nonsense that annoys me... when the titles are 50 question marks, the whole thing is filling in random colors, etc... Just a thought.

Wow, if my puzzles met the date criteria, I would have 16 puzzles deleted - most of them 15x15 or below. Personally, I like that puzzles are not reviewed here. We get many more advanced logic puzzles (Griddlers.net only allows line logic solvable puzzles). Yes, I understand the complaint about these kinds of puzzles, but this site does not force you to solve them. Usually one can tell if a particular puzzle will be like this just from looking at the clues. You can just go to the "Rate Puzzle" and mark it as solved and you don't have to solve it to get it off the list of unsolved puzzles.

It's an interesting idea to clean up the puzzle bank. IMO, the criteria could be puzzles over a year old, with at least 10 raters, and a rating of 1 and 1.25. I think setting the bar at a rating of 2.5 is too high, even 2.0 is still too high. What we don't need are the really bad ones.

Yes, any WoT puzzles should be cleared out. The current year will hold plenty of object lessons for new puzzle creators.
