Topic #1000:
By Byrdie (byrdie)

Someone shy started this topic some time ago and it's been wanting for a comment ever since. Perhaps now it won't be so lonely.

How very kind of you, Byrdie. It's not fun being lonely. :)

Yay, let's have a cheer for artificially significant round numbers!

So was this topic started with no posts and just sat there silently for so long with nothing in it? I'm confused. Or is that not what's going on?

Someone probably wrote a comment and then for some reason decided they didn't want it and edited it and erased the comment. But once created the Topic number doesn't go away. The same as an accidental double posts in the Forum. You can edit and erase the comment but you can't get rid of the whole thing.

Then let's use this space for random stuff. I'm gonna post a poem.

Puzzles here, puzzles there,
I see puzzles everywhere.
In my sleep; when I eat;
In my car, they're on the seat.
You cannot hide from the logic,
But it's ok, cuz they're not toxic.

The real reason this was here was to separate the new comments after the crash from the old pre-crash ones. Thus any comments that referred to a missing forum post wouldn't point to a new one.

Joe is correct.

Aurelian, I like your poem. :)

Thank you, Valerie. I must have thought it was cute at the time, but now I think it's kinda dumb. Oh well.

I still like it!

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Most poems rhyme
But this one doesn't

Something about that one... hurts.

But I did laugh out loud.

As Weird Al wrote, in "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long" --a parody of George Harrison's "(Got My Mind)Set On You"--

This song's got nothin' to say
But I'm recording it anyway
I know if I put my mind to it
I know I could find a good rhyme here
