I couldn't decide on which to enter, so you get the benefit(?) of both. #9907 is the better picture, but I think this is the better solve.

I had a lot of fun looking up the quotes for these. Here's one of his that exemplifies the above one: "If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack."

Excellent puzzle. I like this last quote too.

Great puzzle. My sister, a history buff, has highly recommended some of his writings. Says they are brilliant. Haven't had a chance to get them yet.
