Wonderful picture of a cock. Is it yours?

Made me think of a variety called a minorca or minorcan. See link below.

I use to have a cock when I was young Martin, I bought him for $2 at the school fair, my parents were not happy, I had to set him free in the Tasmanian wilderness, poor little thing he was. He looked very simular to the red coloured cock on the top right of the page you put a link to.

I would love to know how many are biting their lips and snickering after your and my comments.

One of the things I miss most about the hobby farm I lived on is the chickens. Never mind the fresh eggs, the quiet cackling of chickens in the background is just part of the sound track of living there. I had anywhere from 1 to 5 roosters during that time. Had to separate some of them to keep them from fighting and eventually ended up selling some.

Sad story about your little cock. It's not hard to get used to the sound of them.

:D I think you are right about those comments Martin, I was having a decent snicker myself.

I would dearly love to have some hens right now, but I have a dog that would most likely dig his way into their coop and eat them all, plus I would want to let them out to roam around the yard, total impossibilty at the moment. The dog beheaded our poor little rabbit Dimitri ages ago. One day.
