Puzzle Description:

The checkered flag.

This puzzle requires a lot of patience!

You must remember what you've just changed and figure out what pixels that influences. Quite often those changes are obscure.

If you don't like that, please pick another puzzle.

Pesky question mark...

Easy edge logic on the 4 in the bottom row is the only non-line logic needed. However, there is *much* line logic needed.

great fun again infrapinklizzard
i actually thought this one was easier than a lot of yours
i also only had to use edge logic on that bottom 4 after doing line logic and then it solved easily and of course logically
it looked like a man windsurfing early on (but then he started doing the splits and kickinghimself in the head) and then it looked like a cracker with a bite out of it
i can still both of those things
#4: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 5, 2010
Thanks, bugaboo. I, too thought it wasn't too bad, but it was up to 20 players before another person solved it. Even now, the solve rate is under 25%.
#5: Minnie Fuerstnau (m.fuerstnau) on Jun 6, 2010
I had to clear this once and start completely over the next morning when I wasn't tired...

Thanks for another interesting image.
#6: Liz P (Lizteach) on Jun 6, 2010 [HINT] [SPOILER]
I had found the edge logic in the bottom row and was working my way toward the end (I also thought it was some sort of cracker!) when I made some sort of error and hit a wall and had to revert back to just after I'd found the row of 4 on the bottom. Tricky one!
#7: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 6, 2010
The title *is* rather ironic...
#8: paul dahmer (paul) on Jun 6, 2010
wonderful - i love no guessing puzzles!!! well done
#9: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 6, 2010
Thanks, Paul. I never publish a puzzle I haven't solved myself, and I HATE guessing.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
#11: Gator (Gator) on Jun 7, 2010 [HINT]
Agree on the bottom 4 clue. Very nice solving puzzle. Thanks Joe.
#12: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Jun 7, 2010
Very challenging and I think I might have guessed once or maybe using some kind of logic I don't understand - anyway, I was pleased to be able to solve it.
#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 7, 2010
Congratulations, Susan, and I'm glad you liked it.
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 9, 2010
Nice puzzle, Joe. Good challenge, clever title.
#15: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 9, 2010
Thanks, Teresa. The title is ironic at the beginning, but oh so apt by the end.
#16: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 18, 2010
took me a week to solve it .... lol
#17: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 18, 2010
Tom, still less than one third of the people who start finish it, so consider yourself in the top.
#18: Jota (jota) on Jul 8, 2010
Nice !!!
#19: karl (keicher) on Jun 30, 2011
needs multiple guesses.
#20: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 30, 2011 [HINT]
Karl, you may have needed multiple guesses, but the puzzle does not. There is one instance of edge logic needed, and all the rest is simple line logic. The edge logic is set forth in multiple comments above (nos. 2, 3, 6 & 11).

Please read the comments before posting.

I enjoyed solving this puzzle. Hard, but without guessing required.

Fun puzzle, and a really nice image. Thanks, Joe!
#22: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 17, 2011
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for telling.
#23: BlackCat (BlackCat) on May 31, 2017
Very tough puzzle even having an idea of what it was. Too many restarts needed to make it fun.
#24: derby (Derby) on Apr 17, 2019
Can be solved with line and edge logic alone. Good puzzle.
#25: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Jul 10, 2019
I couldn't figure out how the title related to bras on a clothesline :)

When it popped, WOW! GREAT motion IPL!
#26: Bruce Beckett (Bruce Beatlefan) on Nov 29, 2020
Previous comments say it all. I'm happy to solve it at first crack, no guessing, when I see the low solve percent. This is the kind of puzzle I wish for when I start doing one of these. Thanks for killing my Sunday evening!
#27: Ailsa Hebert (bazette3) on Nov 9, 2021
Nice puzzle! Really enjoyed the solve! Thanks!
#28: Courtenay Footman (Courtenay) on Dec 26, 2023 [HINT]
You might only need edge logic on the bottom, but the edge logic on the first column helps.
