Puzzle Description:

A fish

I can't believe I solved the whole thing. My eyes may fall out of my head.

However, it's a lovely picture in the end.

Thanks.

I just wanted to explain the title a bit better.Im new at this site and I thought for some silly reason that everybody would be Australian like myself. We have a fishing guru in Australila called Rex Hunt who kisses every fish he catches before he releases them, so I reckon he would really like this cute little fish. Im going to be a lot more careful with my titles from now on.

Especially nice- made me be very meticulous with my work. Worth it!

Actually, I think the title is fine. I'd never heard of Rex, but with your explanation I can see that this is a very kissable fish and it makes a very amusing mental image.

I love that we have puzzles posted from people in the US, Israel, Denmark, Canada and Australia (and probably other places I don't know about). It hardly makes for deep cultural exchange, but it's kind of fun to rub up against little regional references like Rex Hunter.

I finally did this one! Neat - it was very absorbing. I love all the details.

#8: Gitte Olesen (granny40) on Sep 20, 2007 [SPOILER]
Great puzzle. Actually my husband is watching Rex Hunt sometimes. We live in Denmark, but we have “Canal Digital” (a satellite dish) and it’s send on Discovery. ^<^
#9: Arduinna (arduinna) on Oct 22, 2007
Beautifull! And your second puzzle ever wasn't it? Marz rocks!
#10: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Oct 23, 2007
Thankyou Arduinna :)
#11: Bionerd (nieboo) on Nov 3, 2007 [SPOILER]
This is by far my favorite! A puzzle after my own heart! :)
#12: Kevin Sobiski (biskit) on Feb 29, 2008
Not really all that difficult, but very time-consuming. Fantastic picture at the end though!
#13: Deana L (ffswife) on Apr 19, 2008
This is a very nice puzzle Marz! And I'm SHOCK (no really!) that Neiboo likes this one. ;)
#14: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Apr 20, 2008
Thankyou Bionerd, Kevin and Deana, and I got a laugh from your comment Deanna, yes, who would have thought, hehe! :)
#15: Bionerd (nieboo) on Apr 20, 2008
yeah, it shocked me too. You never know what will call out to you.....or everyone knows what will call out to me. Whichever.

#16: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Aug 19, 2008
This was very well done.
#17: Dee Molson (dee46) on Sep 29, 2008
What a great puzzle! Nice picture. I like the story behind the title too...
#18: Jota (jota) on Apr 29, 2009
LOVED IT!
#19: Vaggelis Kamaris (evag7651) on Dec 16, 2010
nice
#20: Byrdie (byrdie) on Oct 2, 2011
Beautiful image and a nice challenge for a puzzle. There must be a great deal of satisfaction that comes from going through the effort to create a puzzle like this and then have it turn out so well!
#21: nieboo (BionerdII) on Oct 7, 2011 [SPOILER]
I would kiss every fish too.
#22: Raymond Fuller (rfuller4) on Jun 17, 2012
It took forever but it was worth it!
#23: K Shively (kes57) on Dec 7, 2012
I'v solved a couple of hundred puzzles on this site and I think this is my favorite image so far. The puzzle was challenging but not impossible - just the way I like them!
#24: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Sep 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
From the title, I thought it would be Eliza Doolittle (though technically that'd be Henry's girl). I never heard of Rex Hunter, but he sounds like a charmer.
#25: jewel crown (jewel) on Jun 20, 2014
Beautiful!! ***** What a great image.
#26: Iain Dunlop (ham guru) on Apr 25, 2017 [SPOILER]
I know names can be difficult at times (the number of times my name is spelt incorrectly is insane, even if my given name is right in front of them) but its just Rex Hunt, not Hunter, i hope this clears it up for people :)
#27: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 26, 2017
Sorry. I'd commented 4 years ago, and hadn't even noticed my mistake. I grew up with the Norwegian surname "Vognild" (plus Kristin, Christian, Christine, etc. etc.), so I know a thing or three about misspelled names.
#28: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Oct 25, 2017
I seldom do puzzle this big and don't know why I started this one. However, I found it very doable. No guessing. A lovely image that must have taken quite a while to design. Fun, rewarding solve.
#29: David Buchman (Dr. Bucky) on Mar 23, 2021
This is one of my favorite solves.
