The Type 2 Phaser from Star Trek

Solvable by logic alone.

Lots of color logic, with some smile logic to finish.

Most of the puzzle solves with line logic, leaving the lower left and the upper right.

The lower left can be filled in by using color logic on the 3 in c1.

The upper right is a bit more involved. Start by using color logic on all the black 2s starting in r10. Then c25, and so on.

Then use color logic on the blue 2 in r3. Line logic fills in a lot more.

Then a little more color logic (in r3) to finish off the blue.

Finally, finish with smile logic in rows 1&2.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

This was a lot of fun to solve.

Thanks. It wasn't solvable without the kerpow circles. I didn't like how easy the second (larger) circle made it, but I got lazy and said good enough.

I think others also were fooled into thinking it would be easy by the easy start and got frustrated in the upper right, thus the low rating.

upper right took a little reckoning, but not bad and made for a fun ending :)

I've noticed that a lot of users here have trouble with color logic. My cl puzzles always seem to get a higher difficulty rating than I think they deserve, with many people giving up altogether. just an observation....

Thanks, Norma. Funny that this one shows up today - I went to see the new Star Trek tonight. I am impressed that they are keeping them good.
