Puzzle Description:

A closeup of a ring I had a long time ago, done from memory. It's a star sapphire in a silver setting, studded with tiny diamonds. There is an inscription on the inside of the band, but you can't read it, even this close. It says, "To Teresa With Love"

You will see the star right away and probably figured it out half way through. But I hope the inscription at the end added a little bit of mystery to solving this one.

The real mystery is - What happened to the ring? I think it was stolen by a "friend" who visited my apartment before we went out clubbing one night. I had just broken up with the guy who had given me the ring, and the ring was sitting on my dresser that night, but was gone the next time I looked for it. When the boyfriend gave it to me, I thought it meant there was a commitment, but he was not the commitment type, as I found out not long after he gave me the ring, when I learned that he was still seeing his ex-girlfriend. The ring and the boyfriend were out of my life forever. The memory remains.

And the stone was not really as big as depicted in the puzzle, but hey, what the heck. :-)
