This is how I tackled it. After all of the color logic, we are left with black only to solve in rows 5-11 and columns 1-4 and 27-30. We can use summing on the left to know that the 1 clue in row 6 has to be in the right side of the puzzle (or you could have summed on the right for the same effect).

Starting with the right side, look at row 10. R10C28, R10C29 or R10C30 has to be black. This makes it so no matter which one is black in row 10, R9C29 will always be black. Normal line logic to finish out the right side.

Now the left. Look at row 11. The 1 clue has to go in R11C1, R11C2, or R11C3. The column clues have 3, 3, and 2 respectively. Look at how this affects row 9. No matter which of the cells is black in row 11, R9C2 will always be black. A little more line logic. I then used edge logic in column 1 to see that R7C1 is a dot. Line logic to finish it out.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

Wow. Cool puzzle. Very tricky, but I managed to figure it out without looking at the hints this time [Teresa pats herself on the back]. Interesting subject. too.

Great puzzle! Had to work at it...which is what I really like. Thanks!

Just enough asymmetry that you couldn't rely on that as a solving strategy. Nicely done!
