Puzzle Description:
Disney's Pinocchio won "Best Song" and "Best Score" in 1940. That was way before your time, and way before my time, but I know you know that song. :-)

I used edge logic on the 4 in R17, then smile logic on R17-19, and edge logic on the 4 in R22. I think I may have also used some either-or logic on the blue 2s in the bottom rows.#2: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 10, 2010
You could probably recognize the image early on. I hope it was enjoyable for you anyway. Do you have the song in your head? Here is the Louis Armstrong version:#3: Byrdie (byrdie) on Mar 10, 2010 [HINT] [SPOILER]

I did recognize the image early on and it's very nicely done.#4: paul dahmer (paul) on Mar 10, 2010
With a combination of color and straight line logic I was able to solve this. No guessing. I think there was one spot that I use what would qualify as edge logic near the top of the face. All the open space in the face made this a challenge to solve and well worth it for the result.
good job - nice pic and reasonably hard to solve - no guessing required.#5: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 10, 2010
Thanks, Martin and Paul.#6: Kai-Uwe Zickerick (conzick) on Mar 11, 2010
Great picture. Hard, but solvable.#7: Jota (jota) on Mar 11, 2010
And of course I remember the song!
Thanks for your entry! At the end I used "eye brow" logic.#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 11, 2010
Thanks, Conzick. LOL, Jota.#9: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Mar 11, 2010
I guessed it from the "Pleasure Island" part of the title.#10: jewel crown (jewel) on Mar 11, 2010

Thanks, Linda and Petra.#15: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Mar 13, 2010
Found to be logically solvable by Gator.#16: Gator (Gator) on Mar 13, 2010 [HINT]
Color logic the whole way through until you reach the smile logic at the very end. Great picture and amazing solve. :)#17: Nother (npiller) on Mar 13, 2010
WOW - thank you so much for a challenging AND reward puzzle.#18: Jane Doe (telly) on Mar 14, 2010

great one! very very fun! Thanks#21: CB Paul (cbpaul) on Oct 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
I figured I was looking at a cartoon head when I recognized the hat brim. Saw those two horizontal black lines in the lower center-right and wondered if that was a long nose. Don't recall the song, tho; will have to google it. Good one, Teresa!#22: Velma Warren (Shiro) on Oct 8, 2018
Quite a challenge, but the image was well worth the effort.#23: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 9, 2018
Thank you, Paul and Velma. :-)#24: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Sep 10, 2019 [SPOILER]
From the title I thought, "It must be Pinocchio." Then I was getting all these weird swirls of blue, green, and black. I made myself back off, take in the entire image, and that's when I realized I had started to place his nose and the entire image flipped for me. :)#25: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 10, 2019
Kristen, I love it when that happens. This is one of my favorite puzzles.#26: Luis Cavazos (luishifto) on Sep 25, 2019
