Thanks, I will, beginning on the 11th.

It's funny how the flames seem to be blowing in different directions. Must be a very haphazard wind blowing, LOL.

It's hard to make "flicker" with three pixels.

First time I've come across one of these puzzles on this site.
#5: Jota (jota) on Dec 9, 2009
What do you mean Jen?
#6: Jen (LightVader) on Dec 9, 2009 [SPOILER]
You'll have to excuse my spelling, but I don't remember ever seeing a menorah puzzle. I remember plenty of Christmas trees, but nothing to represent any of the other holidays at this time of year.

We don't have that many, but we do. I'm sure that Adam or Jan or someone with better memory than me can point you to them.
#8: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 9, 2009
I will if you want me to.
#9: Jen (LightVader) on Dec 10, 2009
no it's not necessary. I'll come across them eventually.

It's lovely, Brian.

Jen, try this one:

I like this...my family shared Christmas with the Jewish family next door when I was growing up...and they shared Hannukah with us. We were children and enjoyed their traditions and special dinners/foods and were told what they meant.

The Christmas creche, our Christmas dinner and unwrapping of the presents and caroling were our traditions that we shared/explained to them. Lol...I remember thinking their kids had it better than we did because Hannukah meant they received EIGHT days of presents!

Looking back on that now after all these years I realize the adults in both our families were way ahead of their times, both with their ecuminical actions and their tolerance of other religions without compromising their own.

PS...the older protestant couple who completed our cul-de-sac were also a part of our festivities. I really enjoy remembering that all these adults gave eight children this special experience that enabled all of us to move forward in understanding and peace...into a divisive world.

I can only think of the religious wars we fight/support in the middle east.

...Oh, and Adam...I think the candle flames are especially charming! Haven't you ever watched a menorah burn with eight children staring/breathing at it? Lol!

Cool story, JoDeen.

Actually, no I haven't. In fact, I haven't ever seen a menorah, period. Except in puzzles on here. But I get what you are saying. :-)

My family celebrates Christmas, but a few years ago one of my young cousins learned about menorahs in school and insisted that her father get one for her.
