Puzzle Description:
Dices from 1 to 6
#1: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 8, 2009
I think the puzzle is pretty cool, but I don't get the title's reference. The only think I can think of is the song from U2.#2: Kai-Uwe Zickerick (conzick) on Dec 8, 2009 [HINT] [SPOILER]
Adam, 1-2-3-4-5-6 is called "street" in some dice-games.#3: Byrdie (byrdie) on Dec 8, 2009 [HINT] [SPOILER]
Knowing that the black block on the right had to be the 5, I was able to solve it on the first try with an educated guess, but it was still a guess.#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 8, 2009 [SPOILER]
Nice puzzle otherwise and a great interpretation of the theme.
Wow, Conzick, that was challenging and fun. That last die (5) was a killer. I tried to use logic, but had to use visual cues (guessing). But maybe there is some tricky edge logic that I missed.#5: Jota (jota) on Dec 8, 2009 [HINT]
Thanks for explaining the title.
Thanks for your entry! I tried edge logic to place "2" in the last column and it worked, so I marked as not needing guessing, but we'll wait for Jan or Gator to decide.#6: ant (agrest272) on Dec 8, 2009 [HINT]
I thought I solved it logically.. I got hung up with that '5' die, but I realized the 7 in R14 cannot go in C23,C24 or C25 due to edge logic with the 2 in R15, and it solved out nicely from there. Like jota said.. we'll wait for the robot to prove :)#7: Merili (merilinnuke) on Dec 9, 2009 [HINT]
I used edge logic on the "4" rows/columns (die 5)#8: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Dec 9, 2009
Found to be logically solvable by Gator.#9: Gator (Gator) on Dec 9, 2009 [HINT]
Ugh...been reduced to a robot. :(#10: Jota (jota) on Dec 9, 2009
j/k :)
Nice edge logic.
It wasn't me but I had a good laugh our of it!#11: Fran (rmm) on Dec 13, 2009
Dice is the plural for die. Very nice dice :)#12: Diana W (aeris) on Nov 19, 2011 [SPOILER]
I enjoyed this puzzle a lot. Very fun to solve, and it was satisfying to get the last die without guessing. :)
