Puzzle Description:

Baby Buggy, sans baby.

#1: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 1, 2009 [HINT]

If you get stuck, try a little bit of edge logic on the far right.

Old fashioned baby buggies were so cool. They were as big as bassinets, and were on a spring frame so you could bounce it gently and put baby to sleep. Being the oldest girl in a large family, I was often assigned to buggy duty, and happily took on the role of Mother's Helper.

You can still get that model here. In fact, most people choose something that looks similar to the one you made.
#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 1, 2009 [SPOILER]
That's interesting, Petra. You hardly ever see these anymore here in the U.S.

Reminds me of the childhood rhyme... "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Adam with a baby carriage." I think that is the second part of the rhyme that made fun of boys who were seen flirting with their little girl friends.

Thanks for your entry!

Why pick on me??? :-)
I always heard it as "...then comes 'BABY' in a baby carriage." Fun one. Nice image. Edge logic on the far right didn't help me as much, so I used in on the 2 in row 12 and it solved nicely.
#10: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 1, 2009
Couldn't help myself. :-D

Thanks, Telly.
#13: Byrdie (byrdie) on Mar 4, 2010 [SPOILER]
Ditto #7 with the rhyme - I also always heard it with someone's name inserted ... usually in grammar school.

Went something like:

Adam and Teresa sitting in a tree
K - I - S - S - I - N - G
First comes ... (etc.)

Fun puzzle and a nice challenge in solving. Didn't have too much blank stare time.

#20: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 13, 2010 [SPOILER]
Baby grew up, is now a man. Where did the years go? But he's still my baby. :-)

Nice puzzle!

very cute! my mom had 7 kids in 7 years and we always had a black baby buggy around. i remember it had white "tires" with spokes, and an accordion-style sunshade.
#23: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 12, 2011 [SPOILER]
I like the name "pram," short for perambulator. English mummies and nannies use a pram. :)

When my daughter was a baby, after her bath in the afternoon I would put her in the carriage push her for a long walk with my cat close by.
#25: Judy Baumann (JudyBee) on Aug 23, 2018 [SPOILER]
Joe - mine did indeed have rubber baby buggy bumpers. Well, tires, anyway. I bought it in Spain when we lived on a military base there. Many years later, it needed new tires and I had to have them custom made.
The buggy was from the late sixties, so it had an avocado green velour covering. Wicker on the sides. I thought it was wonderful. It served as a baby bed for my daughter's first few months.
Thank you, Teresa, for a stroll down memory lane.
