Thanks very much for this series! I love puzzles where I learn something new, and doing 4 at a time adds to the level of difficulty and interest in solving these simple images.

I watched a PBS show on hoboes recently. The term originated from the phrase, "hoe boy." The idea being, before the Great Depression, that boys and men would start wandering from town to town, via the rail-roads, looking for work, and most of the jobs they got were in the fields. I think it was on an episode of "Numb3rs," that they depicted some of these graphics.

Thanks for the info, Joe. Very interesting.

Here is an interesting history of the hobo:

I read through some of that history of the hobo, and it's really interesting. I really enjoyed this series. Thanks for making it!

I, too, enjoy these. I usually don' do puzzles his big but these are fun and educational. I like the difference in a hobo, tramp, and bum. That sounds about right. Teresa, I don't know if you have made any hobo puzzles lately, but if I ever get the ones I have on my "to solve" list done, I'll check for more!
