In the movie Labyrinth, our heroine Sarah happened upon the little little fairies. Sarah was delighted, until one bit her!

The movie Labyrinth, starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, was a Jim Henson film (Muppets creator) and was produced by George Lucas. It is one of my favorite fantasy movies. If you would like to see it, you can watch it on YouTube:

"When the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. So there ought to be one fairy for every boy or girl." Line from Peter Pan by James Barrie

What a fun puzzle to solve - and the image is a delight! (Of course, I didn't expect anything less from you, Teresa!) How do you think of such neat ideas? Thank you!

Awesome film. I've been watching it for nearly 20 years.
Great puzzle too.

Thanks, everyone. I love faries, and I love the movie Labyrinth. There are so many cool creatures in that movie, everyone can get plenty of ideas for this week's contest just from that one movie. The fairies were so pretty. I could not find a screen shot of a fairy from that movie, but I found a graphic that came close enough, and modified it to make it my own.

I know there are several other fairy puzzles on webpbn, I have worked at least 4 of them, but hopefully this one is different enough from the others. It looks like she is dancing, or maybe working some magic!

Thanks for another amazing entry to this week's WC.
This fairy is definitely not about to bit anyone, it's very sweet.

Love the use of negative space. It leaves more to the imagination. A really wonderful image and puzzle. Just can't bring myself to say "I love faries."

Thanks, Martin. You don't have to love fairies as long as you love the negative space. :-)

It took me awhile to make the title match the picture, but I got my "Aha!" moment, about 2/3 through the solve. :)
